Plugin Updates

Well, I just upgraded a couple of my favorite plugins…
I upgraded my anti-spam plugin - Spam Karma 2 to version 2.1 from the 2.1 beta version. Got to keep myself protected from those evil spammers!
I also upgraded my photo gallery plugin - FAlbum from version 0.5.3 to version 0.6.3. Since flickr is where I […]

Small monitor viewing

I noticed tonight that when I look at my site with my google deskbar in sidebar mode, I lose my left hand side site navigation. I wonder whether I should make the site work for screens smaller than 1024×768, or whether I should leave it alone.
Thoughts? Comments?

iPod 30gb

I got my iPod. I bought it just before we left for Utah. I bought it thanks to the efforts of Katie, who prodded all my friends to buy me BestBuy gift cards for my birthday.
I decided to purchase the 30gb iPod. I thought the 60gb iPod would be overkill since I have about 25gb […]

recently registered

I recently registered legbandt.org and I haven’t decided what to do with it. Do I move my blog to my family domain? Do I put up a private family website? Anyone have any ideas?

Saw this link on Slashdot, Air Force testing new transparent armor, and thought of a novel application for it. Homes. Windows are the least protective part of your house. It would have been an irresponsible purchase, mainly because I could use that money for other things (like food). But for $239, it is only $10 more than a refurbished 20gb iPod […]

Rural Wi-Fi Access

ABC News has posted an AP article on a Wi-Fi cloud in rural Oregon. A Wi-Fi cloud would be awesome in the rural area of Smithfield, UT where my in-laws have a house. I love the area up there but the lack of high-speed internet access where they live is big issue for me. […]

Business Week has an article titled “Google satellite photos worry India leader“. I wonder if any politician has figured out that if a terrorist really wants to target a location, they will do their own reconnaissance and not rely on information found elsewhere. Any information on the Internet or any other publicly available source is […]

As promised, here is a quick tutorial on how to integrate the flickr gallery plugin with the Blix theme.

Ever notice that the bookmarks list in your browser seems to grow at an enormous rate? I did. So I decided to devote 30 minutes of my life to clearing out old bookmarks. I actually went through a bunch of them and noticed that they no longer work, many of the domains don’t even exist […]
